The DAAC Music Series is accepting applicants for Project II, a music mentoring program for high school students. Project II is intended for students with some musical background and an interest in group performance and songwriting.
Deadline: September 9th, 2016
Rehearsals will begin Monday, September 12th, and will be held bi-weekly over a 12 week period, with a final performance on Sunday, December 11th, from 5pm to 8pm. Rehearsals will be on Monday evenings, and Friday evenings. Students will be divided into groups based on musical ability and interest in a particular music genre. Instruments will be available for students without their own.
Project II is staffed by members and volunteers of the DAAC, including professional musicians, venue owners, and educators. Project II will be funded, this time around by the DAAC.
Interested students should email Rick at firstname.lastname@example.org by September 9th to receive further information and consideration for a space in the program. Selected students will receive confirmation on Sept 9th and 10th. This program will be limited to only 20-25 students. So please submit your interest via email, as soon as possible.
We look forward to doing this project again. The first time was an amazing experience for everyone that was involved.
