Brooks Strause is a prolific and eclectic singer-songwriter from Iowa City, regarded as one of Iowa’s top songwriters. He has released 8 diverse albums dating back to 2007, his latest, “Christ of the Abyss” was released in May of 2016. Strause has toured extensively, both solo and with his band The Old Scratch Revival Singers, and has shared stages with Dawes, William Elliott Whitmore, Simon Joyner, the Daredevil Christopher Wright, Kurt Vile, Greg Brown, Poison Control Center, Dax Riggs, Mac DeMarco, and Murder by Death. Dredge is a three piece Progressive Metal band from Dubuque, Iowa consisting of Kasey Jansen (bass, vocals) Garrett Mess (guitar, vocals) and Matt Wenzel (drums). Since forming in 2008 we have written and independently released three full length albums: Sediment (2009), The Shadow Current (2012) and Fossils and Ghosts (2015). Although we don’t tour, we continue to write new music, play several regional shows each year and push ourselves and one another to keep evolving and progressing in our craft.
